- Yesterday @ work, I got to start an IV by myself! Whew, it was really nerve-wracking doing at alone and thank God it was successful and patent! I feel so much competent nurse now! Yay!! It was special since we barely get the opportunity to start IV's in our unit unless the IV site infiltrates or gets dislodged.
- How funny, well not really funny..One of my Hispanic patients yesterday who had a C-section 3 days ago was supposed to get discharged. However though, when the husband came he said that they have no car, no cellphone, and no house phone. All the conversation was done via the telephone interpreter paano they don't understand any single english! And it took too much time just to translate every single question and answer portion! Nakaka-stress ito talaga! Anyway, he asked so many questions and talked so much and even asked if it's possible for someone to drop them off to the fields because he and her wife are gonna work! As in now na daw! As in OMG!!! Her wife had a surgery and he wants the wife to work in the fields???!!! Seriously?! He was pushing the idea that back in Mexico, in past pregnancies that the wife went home the same day after a C-section. Heck, that was back there in Mexico siguro and here in US it will take 6 weeks until the wife can really get back to work noh! Ano ba yan? Naloka talaga ako dun yersterday. My goodness! Oh, and even made it harder because neither of the husband or wife can read nor write. Haay!! My brain was fried talaga yesterday!
- Isa pang problem patient ko the last two days was this 14 year old patient. Grabe ah, 14 pa lang kumerengkeng na! Wala talaga ako maisip na ibang word, pero seriously at 14, you're still a kid. How come someone be a mother at 14??? She doesn't have any single clue on how to change the diaper of her baby, or how to even feed her baby. Omg. Now that patient is referred to the Social worker and Child protective services kung meron mang dapat imbestigahan about this matter, and most especially if she can even take care of her child. LOL, tapos nakita ko kanina ang teaser sa TFC about this Katorse teleserye na ipapalabas nila. Ang timing talaga!
- Anyway, next weekend is my off and I can't wait! Sister and Mike's probably gonna visit. Maybe we can watch this movie....

- When I was at work the other night, Carissa texted me about this movie that she watched in Netflix "instant play" feature. She said the story is kind of like "Chances are" that also starred Robert Downey Jr. and you know this is one of my favorite movies!
So this movie that she was watching was Only You.

So after I got off from work, I decided to relax and also watch this movie also through Netflix instant play. (Kahit nakakainis ang internet connection ko, on/off ang signal palagi. Hmp!) Anyway, shucks I love the movie! Super cheesy sya and super silly but you don't have to take the movie seriously naman. I just love movies like this. And I love the song in the credits, Once in a lifetime by Michael Bolton. Anyone has a copy of this song, please penge naman? I can't find the mp3 anywhere eh. :)
- How scary naman this news about this airplane that suddenly disappeared! It's a mystery how come they lost contact and they cannot find a trace where the plane went. Oh no..may survivors pa kaya?

stressful talaga kapag meron language barrier with our patients. i remember b4 sumama ako sa friend ko mag-homecare therapy sa FL, and his patient doesnt speak English, yung friend ko tinuruan magbilang in Tagalog pero iniba nya like icha, jalawa, chatlo, hafat, luma, hanem, pitu, walu, shamsham, shabushabu. and i went back sa car laughing. it's crazy.
Fave ko din ang Only You. Yung real Damon Bradley was chubby and not so goodlooking. Inimbento lang pala yun ng manghuhula. Haha!
And that missing Air France got me bothered too. My initial reaction was:OMG baka nahigop na ng Bermuda Triangle! Hahaha! I'm such a goofball.
