Tall buildings, bright lights, crowded with (walking) people everywhere, (complicated) subway trains, all of a sudden rain, broadway show, halal foods (gyros, kabob), Dunkin' Donuts, NYC cabs, meeting my aunt (and her family) I haven't seen since I was 12, Times Square (that is now only open for pedestrians), lots and lots of shopping places everywhere.....
I miss them all!
Most especially the trip made it more special being with my whole family and the guys.
This is really definitely something special.
Here's the slideshow of the highlights of the trip. Way too many pictures to upload in here. It's a long one so un-mute the music so you won't get bored. [Something special - Colbie Caillat. Played 3x if you're willing to see all the photos!!] :)
PS:
- We were in NY when we heard about the news about Michael Jackson's death. Almost everyone in NY were very emotional. One black woman was yelling out MJ's name in frustration, she was so devastated. There's a tribute of MJ's wax figure in the wax museum and people offered flowers. MJ's songs were being played everywhere in New York. It's really very touching.
- I heard on the news that MJ's funeral is on friday and it's going to be in no other than my little town, here in Santa Maria. He used to live around here...
- And here is my tribute to MJ, as requested by Knoizki. His songs have been playing in my iPod over and over..I didn't realize I know most of his songs and I just didn't know the titles to some songs, like "smooth criminal", "pyt", etc..I will miss you dearly, king of pop. (Pardon my voice. Got sore throat. I hope I'm not coming down with something. Probably just tired.)
One day in your life - Diane de Mesa

You almost made me weep for that song Diane, Thanks so much. Goosebumps*
I had a dream about NYC 3 yrs ago and I just keep coming back there during the daytime. Wandering thoughts.
Whoa a jumo HERSHEYS?
@K, glad that you liked it. Di ba halata na paos ako?
Have you been to NY? It's a beautiful place parang Las Vegas, pero it can be chaotic because it's too crowded. It's a nice vacation spot, but I'll never live there.
Yup jumbo Hersheys, hehe..They were too pricey in that store. Actually all of the stores in NY are pricey! Holy guacamole!
Looks like you and your family had so much fun! It's really different in NY. Subway trains could be complicated at first but all you need to learn is the streets and if you're heading to uptown or downtown. Too bad I wasn't there when you left. We couldve met up. Did you get a chance to go to the NBC studio tours?
Mamma Mia is awesome. Next time you should see Wicked, Lion King, and 9-5.
Uh oh you have sore throat? But i don't even notice it in your song. Take care of yourself sweetie!
That was one heck of a trip huh? So where are we going next? Thanks for posting the pics and the slideshow bb.
Hope you don't get called today so you can get some rest for your throat. I just got back from laying out by the pool. =)
@Kat, subways are complicated! I cannot figure it out. It's so confusing, geez! No we didn't get a chance to stop by NBC studios because we didn't have time. Ohh I've already seen Wicked 2 years ago. And yes it was wonderful!
Really you didn't notice in the song? That's good I guess. :)
haaayyy, gusto ko din punta ng NY. maybe soon. hehe =) it's a great place for a vacation but yeah i don't think i can settle too in a place like NYC, super fast phased kaya ang lifestyle dun and gosh super expensive ng rent ng apt. hehehe=)
love ur photoslides!
@EyMi, yeah punta ka rin ng NY when you're here na with J! It's really a great place for vacation, but to live there it's a no no for me.
Thanks for watching the slideshow! ;)
Sorry, D. My jurassic PC is acting up again that's why I didn't get to comment on this entry immediately.
Anyways, I always wanted to go to New York. I envy you! Picture taking on nights on Broadway! Woohoo! Kelan kaya ako makakapunta diyan? Have you tried going to this place they call Gray's Papaya? I've been hearing so much about the hotdogs outthere. A must-try if you're in New York.
The song One day In Your Life always makes me sad. Ngayon pa lalo na the King of Pop is gone. Naku ha, I didn't even notice you're paos. Wait till I tell you what paos sounds like `pag ako na. Inday Garutay voice talaga. But maybe you don't know who that was.
Bonggang bongga ka naman girl! Wish ko lang makarating ng New York pero sa pangarap ko na lang muna for now. Ganda ng mga pictures! Kakainggitttt!!!!
@Vayie, we didn't get to go to Gray's Papaya. When we were there kasi we had so many places to go to but so little time. Distant rin ang mga places. I didn't get the hotdogs, but there are famous foods there too, yung halal mediterranean foods like gyros, and kabobs.
@Melanie, glad you like the pics. Pwede ka naman makapunta ah. :D
