Something always brings me back to you...

- I got called-off today. Thank God! Lord knows I needed some break from all the craziness at work. It just gets insanely busy. No time to breathe, no time to take a break, no time to even pee. What makes it even more stressful is some of the "grumpy" nurses I work with. I'm just not gonna tell but it's true some nurses are GRUMPY and I just don't want to turn out to be like them (someday). I am a nice nurse and would like to stay that way.

- Seriously, need to take a breather from it all! If I get called again on friday I'm definitely gonna go home since it's my weekend off this coming weekend. I need to come home...*singing that song "home" by michael buble in my mind

- Haay, at least tomorrow I am recharged and I can go back to work with so much energy.

- Tomorrow, it's been 1 year since I took the NCLEX board exam. I remember all those days and nights of studying. 8-10 hours a day. 2 months of intense reviews. >4000 NCLEX questions answered. But thanks to the Lord I was blessed the day I took my exam. My prayers answered.

Time flies huh! It's been a year since I became an RN. It's still my greatest achievement I must say. But it was only the beginning, to enter the real world and sometimes (well most of the time) it's not fun. Though I love my job, that's just the reality of it. Sad to say. :\

- The other day I was so bored and to amuse myself I just reconnected to an old hobby of mine I liked to do when I was little...drawing. I loved to draw. But wait, I didn't have a pencil so I just used a pen. Here it is..the header on top of this blog. hehe..Lol..can't really see eh. Next time I'll draw something when I get a pencil na.

(if you can see it clearly)

- I cooked menudo for lunch earlier today. This time using the mix but I do know how to make this from scratch. But sure the mix made it taste even better, why not?!

First cut the beef into pieces.

What we need onions, garlic, tomatoes, and bell peppers..plus potatoes, carrots, and raisins

Have to boil the beef first to make it tender then use its oil to sautee the garlic and the other veggies..

Add soy sauce, pepper, onion and garlic powder and mix altogether..

Add the raisins. I like it a little sweet so I put this much.

Then the potatoes cut into cubes..

and carrots

This is the mix that I use. It's yummy! But I still cook it differently, I don't really follow what it said in the back.

I put beef bouillon to make it more tasty and some laurel leaves.

Then I add 1 1/2 cups of water and let the beef and the veggies cook..

Here it is! Yummy menudo!

So good! :]

I was so excited when I saw the instrumental music for this song. This is one of my favorites from Sara Bareilles. She is so good in singing live. Mind you, she plays the piano and sings at the same time! Truly talented. She's just one of the artists I really admire!

This is just my attempt to sing her song. Thanks for listening! :)

Gravity

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do I'll still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.

You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your rain.

Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.
When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while and all my fragile strength is gone.

Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

I live here on my knees as I try to make you see that you're everything I think I need here on the ground.
But you're neither friend nor foe though I can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down...

Rainy days and Mondays

I don't know why.. I can't sleep. Oh actually I know why...It's because I consumed coffee earlier tonight to keep me alert in answering my nursing CE exams. Darn it! I keep on doing this to myself! I shoulda known better. Anyway, maybe can blame it on the coffee or it's the hormones i guess...but I feel lonely tonight. Tried to write some songs and maybe a melody can pop in my head but nothing. All I really had was find some peace and comfort in my MacBook Pro (my bestfriend). Just realized I've been staring at this screen for 8 hours now. Holy smokes, could be equivalent of one straight darn shift! Facebook. Twitter. This blog, that i thought to change the layout but I didn't even know where and how to start. I needed to distract this mind from feeling low. Feeling nostalgic, feeling sad, feeling low. But been listening to some of my home recordings. And I came along with this song. This makes me more sad listening to this song. This is kind of what I feel right now I think.

...even though it's not a monday and not raining.

Rainy days and Mondays

Talkin' to myself and feelin' old
Sometimes I'd like to quit
Nothing ever seems to fit
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

What I've got they used to call the blues
Nothin' is really wrong
Feelin' like I don't belong
Walkin' around
Some kind of lonely clown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

Funny but it seems I always wind up here
with you
Nice to know somebody loves me

Funny but it seems that it's the only thing to do
Run and find the one who loves me.

What I feel has come and gone before
No need to talk it out
We know what it's all about
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

Things I miss...

...or should I say, foods I miss...

These were easy access when I was back home in the bay area. Lunch or snack or dinner, just a couple of miles away and I can get it right there and then. Haay, now that I'm over here in the quiet town, I'll just have to stare at these pictures for now para mabusog na lang ang mga mata ko. I'll just have to wait until I come home again and get to eat these cravings. Yum!

Ikea's Swedish Meatballs

Jollibee's Spaghetti and Chicken joy

Krispy Kremes donuts...these simple glazed ones or their assorted ones

Tapioca Express' Coffee Milk tea

Chow king's Taho..I prefer it cold

Goldilocks' Pork Asado Siopao

Yum..

Nakakagutom! :P

New Nurse vs. Old Nurse

I got this off from facebook. It's interesting and most of them are true based from what I see at work. The ones highlighted are the ones I believe are true to me.

1) New nurses throw up when their patient does. Old nurses call housekeeping to clean it up.

2) New nurses wear so many pins on their name badge you can't read it. Old nurses don't wear a name badge for liability reasons.

3) New nurses chart too much. Old nurses don't chart enough.

4) New nurses love to run codes. Old nurses make the new nurses go to codes.

5) New nurses want everyone to know they are a nurse. Old nurses don't want anyone to know they are a nurse.

6) New nurses keep detailed notes on a pad. Old nurses write on the back of their hand, paper scraps, napkins, and their pants leg.

7) New nurses spend all day trying to reorient a patient. Old nurses chart that the patient is disoriented and restrain them.

8) New nurses can hear a beeping IV med @ 50 yards away. Old nurses never hear any beeps at all. (HAHA!)

9) New nurses spend 2 hours giving a patient a bath. Old nurses spend 2 hours looking for the aid to give the patient a bath.

10) New nurses think that people respect nurses. Old nurses think that everyone blames nurses.

11) New nurses look for blood on a bandage so they can change it. Old nurses know that a little blood never hurt anybody.

12) New nurses look for opportunities to "work with the family". Old nurses avoid the family @ all costs.

13) New nurses spend days bladder training an incontinent patient. Old nurses insert foleys.

14) New nurses always answer their home phone. Old nurses always check their caller ID first.

15) New nurses think psych patients are interesting. Old nurses think psych patients are crazy.

16) New nurses think carry reference books in their bag. Old nurses carry magazines, lunch and some "cough syrup" in their bag.

17) New nurses won't think this is funny. Old nurses will.

- I still think this is funny! Let me just add one thing, "You can't teach OLD NURSES new tricks!" ha!

-----------------//

And here's another one...why you should DATE a nurse! haha..

Ten reasons why you should date a nurse:

1) They can help you get over a hangover or sickness

2) Bedbaths!

3) The uniform (ain't talking about scrubs here!)

4) They are exposed to so many xrays, its like a form of birth control

5) You willl never need to buy condoms, paracetamol, toothbrushes or any hospital supplies (I don't know about that!)

6) They know how to handle bodily fluids!

7) Nothing shocks a nurse, they have always seen smaller or indeed bigger!

8) They wont be disgusted by your toilet habits

9) They are experienced in manual evacuation when your full of crap (Lol)

10)They know how to handle the human body!!!!!!!

LOL!

And here's my version of Kathy Trocolli's "If I'm not in love". Faith Hill also has a version of this song. One of my favorite love songs ever..

If I'm not in love

If I'm not in love with you
What is this I'm going through, tonight
And if my heart is lying then
What should I believe in
Why do I go crazy
Every time I think about you baby
Why else do I want you like I do
If I'm not in love with you

And if I don't need your touch
Why do I miss you so much, tonight
If it's just infatuation then
Why is my heart achin'
To hold you forever
Give a part of me I thought I'd never
Give again to someone I could lose
If I'm not in love with you

Oh why in every fantasy
Do I feel your arms embracing me
Lovers lost in sweet desire
Oh why in dreams do I surrender
Like a little baby
Someone help explain this feeling
Someone tell me

If I'm not in love with you
What is this I'm going through, tonight
And if my heart is lying then
What should I believe in
Why do I go crazy
Every time I think about you baby
Why else do I want you like I, I do
If I'm not in love with you

Here you come again

It's my day-off this weekend and my parents surprised me a visit! Yay! I miss my parents so much and I'm happy even if I can't come home they came here to see me.

Just got some dinner at Cool Hand Luke's steakhouse. I've been wanting to bring them there. I'm glad they liked the food.

Then after dinner, we're lucky to catch the last full show of Harry Potter in the movie theater nearby.

Ako ang nagyaya sa kanila, since wala naman kaming gagawin. I wasn't really dying to see it but I just really wanted to see a movie since I haven't seen a movie in a while.
Don't even ask me what I thought about the movie because it's like a big piece of blur to me. I didn't understand the story. Maybe because I never read the book. Me and my mom were like "Huh?" at the end, hehehehehe...We were just there watching but we had no idea what's going on, hahaha...Some people kindly explain the movie to me, will ya? haha..I'm just really slow in analyzing (some) movies.

Anyway, then today I decided to take my parents to Pismo beach area. But before that took pictures outside my condo first. You know my mom loves "captures" haha..Kanino pa ba ako magmamana di ba? hehe..

With my parents. Aww I do cherish this moment. :)

We went to the Outlets to (window) shop a little bit. And of course I dragged them to go to "The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf" for another coffee session, hehe..My dad loves coffee too!

My parents left tonight and I miss them already. I wish I can come home often. :(

Continuing Education

Oh my!!!!!!!

You know I thought after graduation and after I'm done with school, I'll be free from all of these exams! The thing is, us nurses need some Continuing Education credits all throughout our career. We have to attain certain credits to be able to keep our licenses active.

So now, I have to work on these exams that's why I took them home. I can never work on them at work. Are they kidding? We barely have time to do all of the tasks we have to do! Geez, homework again! Every other week there's something. Haay..so not fun!

I've been humming this song all day. One of my favorite songs from American Idol finalist, Carly Smithson. I love her version of this Dolly Parton original. (if you want copy of this, just let me know..)

Here you come again

(Carly Smithson)

Here you come again,
Just when I begun to get myself together
You waltzed right in the door
Just like you done before
And wrapped my heart
Around your little finger

Here you come,
Just when I'm about to make it work without you
You look into my eyes
And lie those pretty lies
And pretty soon I'm wonderin'
How I came to doubt you

All you gotta do
Is smile that smile
And there go all my defenses
Just leave it up to you
And in a little while
Your messin' up mind
And fillin' up my senses

Here you come again.
Ooh, you lookin' better then any body has the right to
Shaking me up so
That all I really know
Is here you come again
And here I go

All you gotta do
Is smile that smile
And there go all my defenses
Just leave it up to you
And in a little while
Your messin' up my mind
And fillin' up my senses

Here you come again
Ooh, ya lookin' better then any body has the right to
Shaking me up so
That all I really know
Is here you come again
And here I go
And here I go
And here I go

All I see is your face...

I've always been an acne-prone person. When I was in my teens, I remember my face was "tadtad" with acne and it was so annoying. I've visited dermatologists to help treat my acne. They have prescribed various ointments and even some oral medications but it didn't really help. Maybe I should blame my hormones, I believe they have something to do with it! Hay naku! Thank goodness I found out about Proactiv Solution. It's the only thing that really helped my acne. It's a bit pricey but it's really the only thing that stops me from breaking out.

To some peeps who have the same problem, here are some helpful tips that can help get rid of unwanted acne (even if you don't use Proactiv):

Facial cleansing is particularly important for those who are generally prone to acne, like teenagers. The facial cleansing for the prevention of acne outbreaks and while an outbreak is occurring needs to be a specific and recurring 7 step process as defined below.

1. Wash your hands first. Is that surprising? It shouldn't be. Your hands are about to come in contact with your face. The first thing you need to do is scrub your hands and be sure that your nails are clean as well.

2. The next thing that you need to do is to secure your hair either in a hairnet, a shower cap or a headband. Pull your hair away from your face and firmly secure it.

3. Wet your face with warm (not hot) water and apply the soap or facial cleansing product as directed on the packaging. Never use more or less of the product than is recommended.

4. Using only your fingertips (NOT a washcloth), gently massage the cleanser into your face. Use a circular motion and be sure that you go all the way to the hairline. Pay particular attention to the areas of your face where you most often see pimples. Hard scrubbing is counterproductive. Be very gentle.

5. Rinse your face thoroughly by splashing it with warm water. Don't take a shortcut here. Rinse your face until all traces of the cleanser are gone.

6. Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel. Don't rub your face and never use the same towel more than once.

7. Allow your face to air dry for at least 15 minutes before you apply acne medications or moisturizers.

Acne and Diet:

That theory has been proven to not be true by modern research; but, there are those who claim that the research is faulty and that acne is, in fact, if not caused by diet is at least exacerbated by diet.

Refined sugar is believed to be one of the major contributing factors of how severe a case of acne will become by those who adhere to the belief that food and acne are related.

These sources say that you should reduce your intake of refined sugars and substitute artificial sweeteners or natural sweeteners like honey for all refined sugar in your diet to help reduce the severity of acne out-breaks. (kaya siguro eh, i LOVE sweets!)

Another dietary culprit is believed to be nuts, or rather the oil that is found in nuts and especially peanuts. Those who have acne, says the proponents of the diet/acne connection should avoid peanuts in all forms including peanut butter.
(Good thing I don't like peanut butter...unless I eat kare-kare. Nay!)

Another recommendation is that milk should be used only in very small amounts and intake should be greatly restricted. Milk comes from cows, usually pregnant cows and contains large amounts of hormones that are believed to actually be one of the causes of acne.

The anti-acne diet that is recommended is high in salmon, halibut, tuna, sardines, fresh organically grown vegetables, and whole grains. The fish that are recommended are all very high in omega-3 which is known to promote healthy skin. This diet is a very healthy one and whether it actually prevents acne or not, it is a good one.

Sincerely, Stephen M. Seabrook President Nice Specialty Gifts, L.L.C.

http://www.nicespecialtygifts4u.com

--It's hard to follow the diet tips. Unang-una I don't like fish. Sure I'll eat it, pero it's hard to cook it, especially frying it. One time I had a bad experience frying fish, kasi matilamsik sya. The oil splatted in my eye! After that, I really didn't wanna fry fish na. But fried fish with tomatoes is really good, it's the best simple dish! Also, I love sweets! It's so hard to follow this diet tips, pano ba yan? hehe..

Kaya naman I try to follow the simple steps above..and I just try to apply this facial mask from Proactiv also.

Have to leave it on your face for 10 minutes..then rinse it with warm water.

I love the feeling afterwards. My face feels so refreshed talaga! :D

Michael Jackson's death is a hoax daw?

I stumbled on this link yesterday and was reading the articles implying that MJ just faked his death. I admit mapapa-isip ka talaga and they really play with your mind. They give meanings to every single detail, for example, bakit daw the casket was never opened in the memorial kasi daw it was really empty. Or MJ had an impersonator, etc.

Haay, maybe some people just cannot accept the fact that MJ is gone. Di ba nila alam, the first step of Kübler-Ross model's 5 stages of grief is "denial"? Kasi denial --> anger --> bargaining --> depression --> acceptance.

Didn't people think that Elvis Presley faked his death too? That's crazy!

I don't really think that MJ will fake his death. If he did, I don't think he can get away with it, wherever he goes I'm sure people will recognize him. Di ba?

But I admit, pag binasa mo yung entries mapapa-isip ka talaga. They were interesting insights in there. Hmm....Pero I don't think so pa rin!

-------------------------//

And here's your request Ghee. My own take of the acoustic version of Colbie Caillat's Magic. (I have the mp3 of this song on my sidebar, if you want a copy.) One of my favorite songs from her. I love this song, it's so calm and soothing. :)

Magic (Acoustic version)

You've got magic inside your finger tips
its leaking out all over my skin
everytime that i get close to you
your makin me weak with the way you
look through those eyes

And all i see is your face
all i need is your touch
wake me up with your lips
come at me from up above
yeaaaa, oh i need you

I remember the way that you move
your dancin easily through my dreams
its hittin me harder and harder with all your smiles
you are crazy gentle in the way you kiss

All i see is your face
all i need is your touch
wake me up with your lips
come at me from up above

Oh baby i need you
to see me, the way i see you
lovely, wide awake in
the middle of my dreams...

Beautiful soup

I wasn't feeling my 100% the other day. Maybe I just needed some time to rest. Sometimes they say if you go on vacation, you will be stress-free. Though it's not really always true, because after the vacation you need another vacation to rest. Right? hehe...After the exhausting, sleep-depriving NYC trip, I had to go back to work right away (as it was so busy as usual). And I felt like I didn't have enough time to rest so it's probably why I felt a little under the weather. Good thing I got to make some soup for myself. It sucks to be alone when you're sick and no one's there to take care of you, and when you need that extra TLC di ba?

Here's another recipe I'm gonna share on the soup I cooked. The mix I got from Harry & David, "potato corn chowder"..It's so good that I'm calling it the "beautiful soup"! :)

There's an instruction on the ingredients and how to make it and stuff..but I always want to make my own version and tweak it according to my preference.

First, I fry the 3-4 pieces of bacon until they're almost brown.

Then I drain the extra oily grease that comes with it after. You know "sobrang taba" is not healthy.

Put the onion and garlic and sautee it furthermore.

Then add like 6 cups of water to boil.

If you have a can of chicken broth that's the way to go, if not you can also use a teaspoon of chicken bouillon.

I added some leftover rotiserrie chicken I had the night before. It's optional though. But sure it makes it even more tasty if you have chicken breast along with it.

Then I added the soup mix. It comes with potatoes, corn, and some seasonings...

Added the yellow sauce mix and bring to a boil.

And then I added like 2-3 cups of half & half. You can also use regular milk by the way. Then you have to let it simmer for 30 minutes! That's the only thing, you have to wait for a little bit. Not the way to go if you're starving, lol.

Here it is....dan dan dan...my beautiful soup! So yummy! It has the texture of a clam chowder. And it is true that soup is the food for the soul. If you're sick, chicken soup would make you feel so much better! Yumm!

Discovered from the "baul"

The other day I got an email from Yahoo Geocities that they are closing sometime late this year. I remember that before, back in the days... way back when, I used to maintain a website there. It's my so-called journal pre-Xanga and pre-Blogspot days.

If you wanna visit my very cheesy and amateurish old website, here's the link. Oh please please don't read my poems there, I just cringe when I read them now...so cheesy and dramatic. It just makes me say "eeewww" hehehehe...Though some of them I can use as lyrics to my songs. But I'll just see how that goes...

And since I'm in that "trip down memory lane" mode, I'm going to share with you guys this song I performed way back in high school in the talent show, and also sang it in the local channel afternoon show around here. Darn, I wish there was youtube back then. I didn't even get to tape it for myself. Anyway, I remember I was singing this song and my friend was playing piano, hehe...And my high school schoolmates were calling me "Ms. Valentine" back then. hehe...Aww...

Now I'm just re-recording this in the present days using my beloved baby Protools.

One of my favorite love songs of all time, especially the piano...

Valentine

If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you
If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

All of my life
I have been waiting for
All you give to me
You've opened my eyes
And showed me how to love unselfishly

I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
But in my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

Waking up in Vegas

Nothing really to blog about..Just been working, working, working! What's new? Work's as stressful as ever! This little town is such a "baby-town"! Being the only hospital here, we're always busy. Sometimes I wish it will slow down for a complete week. Haaayyy...So how I wish I can have another getaway. I was just in New York couple of weeks ago, and I am dreaming of another vacation...in Vegas! I wish I can be in Vegas right now. I'm so inspired by this song. hehe..

Maka-kanta nga muna!

Here's my version of Katy Perry's

Waking up in Vegas

You gotta help me out
It's all a blur last night
We need a taxi
'Cause your hung over and I'm broke
I lost my fake I.D.
But you lost the motel key
Spare me a fake and dirty looks
Now don't blame me

You wanna cash out
And get the hell out of town
Don't be a baby
remember what you told me

(chorus)
Shut up and put your money where your mouth is
That's what you get for Waking Up in Vegas
Get up and shake the glitter off your clothes now that's what you get for waking up in Vegas
(chorus)

Why are these lights so bright?
Did we get hitched last night?
Dressed up like Elvis
Why am I wearing your class ring?
Don't call your mother
'Cause now we're partners in crime
Don't be a baby
remember what you told me

(Chorus)

You got me into this
Information overlode Situation lost control
Send out an S.O.S
And get some cash out
We'll go to dinner at the town
Don't be a baby
Remember what you told me
told me
told me
told me
told me

(chorus)

It's what you get baby
shake the glitter
shake shake shake the glitter
Give me some cash out baby
Give me some cash out baby

Neverland MJ Ranch

It was such a spontaneous afternoon. Mike was still here for his visit and we just had lunch at Olive Garden. Then I just had a random idea of "What if we visit Neverland?" It's only about half an hour from my place if we do go. I live in Santa Maria and Michael Jackson's place is in Los Olivos, close to Santa Barbara. So we decided, since there's nothing to do anyway in the lazy afternoon, to head down to Neverland to pay our last respect to the King of Pop.

I brought these flowers from my backyard. I don't even know what it's called.

Would you believe that people from all over the world, even from different cities and countries came all the way to Neverland to pay tribute to MJ. Mike and I even spoke to this guy who came all the way from San Diego, and that's like 6 hours away. Saw posters from people from London, Great Britain, Poland, etc.

a letter that writes "To: The Jackson Family". I wonder will they ever read this?

And of course there are media people in there. They have coverage about what's going on in Neverland. They probably got a glimpse of me on TV cuz there was a camera pointing at me earlier, LOL! I'll just never know!

Local news on KCal channel

And there are memorabilias for sale to remember the King of Pop. But you know they rip-off the prices too much! $10-15 per shirt! And even the photos, $10 per picture. Gosh!

And I ended up getting a shirt. It's hard to leave without getting one. Just to show some MJ love..

my t-shirt says "You are not alone" Michael Jackson 1958-2009

It was solemn feeling I felt when I was there. It was amazing how people from different places gathered to pay their last respect to the greatest artist of all time. Aww..

I will really miss you, MJ!
Rest in peace.
May God bless you.
In heaven, you will not be misunderstood and taken advantage of.

MJ was admitted at my workplace!

Anyway, I was just surprised when I found out the other day from my coworker that Michael Jackson was admitted for either exhaustion or flu symptoms at the hospital I work at (Marian Medical Center) in 2005 when he was on his way to his court trial here in Santa Maria.

They said there were lots of media people everywhere! Fans gathered outside the hospital. Half of the 4th floor (MedSurg) where Michael was admitted was shut down for other patients just to give privacy for MJ. And only the charge nurse could take care of him.

Darn, how I wish I was working at Marian back then! Maybe I could have visited him!

July 4th at Pismo Beach

My sisters and the guys and our dog Mikey came to visit me and spent their weekend here. For July 4th holiday, we spent the whole day at Pismo beach. It was just a bit chilly still, but it was nice. :)

Mikey was excited!

Mikey boy, missed you!

Mikey was being "makulit" and "malikot" having separation anxiety when Rach is away. Hay naku!

Then at night, we watched the fireworks show. It was awesome! The following images don't give it justice really....

Then the next day, we went to Avila Beach (also 15-20 mins. away from me). Just hang-around for a little bit. :)

Nice little mini-holiday getaway. Back to the daily grind again tomorrow. :)

Have a nice day/night everyone!

New York City trip_6.24-28.09

New York trip was awesome!

Tall buildings, bright lights, crowded with (walking) people everywhere, (complicated) subway trains, all of a sudden rain, broadway show, halal foods (gyros, kabob), Dunkin' Donuts, NYC cabs, meeting my aunt (and her family) I haven't seen since I was 12, Times Square (that is now only open for pedestrians), lots and lots of shopping places everywhere.....

I miss them all!

Most especially the trip made it more special being with my whole family and the guys.
This is really definitely something special.

Here's the slideshow of the highlights of the trip. Way too many pictures to upload in here. It's a long one so un-mute the music so you won't get bored. [Something special - Colbie Caillat. Played 3x if you're willing to see all the photos!!] :)

PS:

- We were in NY when we heard about the news about Michael Jackson's death. Almost everyone in NY were very emotional. One black woman was yelling out MJ's name in frustration, she was so devastated. There's a tribute of MJ's wax figure in the wax museum and people offered flowers. MJ's songs were being played everywhere in New York. It's really very touching.

- I heard on the news that MJ's funeral is on friday and it's going to be in no other than my little town, here in Santa Maria. He used to live around here...

- And here is my tribute to MJ, as requested by Knoizki. His songs have been playing in my iPod over and over..I didn't realize I know most of his songs and I just didn't know the titles to some songs, like "smooth criminal", "pyt", etc..I will miss you dearly, king of pop. (Pardon my voice. Got sore throat. I hope I'm not coming down with something. Probably just tired.)
